Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Rohan Gupta, based in New South Wales, Australia ("Bound", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Bound app, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Bound.

Who can use Bound
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must give accurate information about yourself, including your name, age and photos. No fake profiles or pretending to be someone else.
• One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done with your account.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

Bound is for meeting people in good faith. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post, send or share anything that:
• harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks or intimidates anyone;
• is hateful or discriminatory, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality;
• is sexually explicit or pornographic, or involves anyone under 18;
• promotes violence, self-harm or illegal activity, including drugs or weapons;
• is spam, advertising, a scam, or an attempt to get money, bank details or personal information;
• is a fake, misleading or fraudulent housing listing, or asks for payment for a room you don't have the right to offer;
• infringes someone else's rights, including their privacy or copyright.

You can block anyone and report any profile from the ... menu on their profile. We review reports within 24 hours. We will remove content that breaks these terms and suspend or permanently remove the accounts of users who post it.

Meeting people and housing

Bound helps you meet people and find housing, but we don't run background checks, verify identities or inspect listings. You're responsible for your own safety and decisions:
• Meet in public places and tell a friend where you're going.
• Never send money for a room, sublet or lease transfer you haven't seen in person and confirmed with the landlord or agent.
• Any housing arrangement is between you and the other person. Bound is not a party to it.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, messages, plans and listings you post. You give us permission to store and display them in Bound so the app can work, for example showing your profile to other users. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account. Only post content you have the right to share.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Me > Delete account. We may suspend or remove your account if you break these terms or if we need to in order to protect other users.

Disclaimers and liability

Bound is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running and safe but can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we're not responsible for what other users say or do, on or off the app. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Bound. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make important changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Bound means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
